The brain and learning- I did not pursue this topic because all the resources available except for one, the guardian, advocated brain based learning. It is already a discovered fact that teaching to the brain functions does not work because we as human beings use the entire network of neurons to think and to function.

Information Processing Theoryexpertlearners.com/el.php This site is dedicated to becoming an expert learner. They give you suggestions of how to take notes ans organize your notes in order to retain and retrieve information from long-term memory. Problem Solving Method During the Learning Process- education.com This site discusses in depth about the cognitive processes in play that produce effective learning. These processes include representing, planning, executing, and self regulation as oppose to the three step process we learned in class which include encoding, retrieval, and self regulation. We have discussed at length about the importance of self regulation's relationship to learning, but we have not discussed the other three found on this website namely constructing a representation of the problem, devising a plan for solving the problem, execution of the plan, and finally evaluating how the system worked.
